Main wheels up landing - Routine FlightSuccessful landing at Maroochydore

Details :
On return from a routine flight we were unable to extend the main wheels. After many attempts to cycle the gear using negative G and yaw a decision was made to land with the nose wheel extended. The landing was normal but the aircraft left the runway at the end and ended up about 150 meters in the clearway. We had deliberately used most of the fuel and there was no fire. ATC, the Fire service, Emergency services and Airport management were all superb. We hired a crane and the Hunter was back in the Hangar within 4 hours.
